What I’m Loving Friday: Feeling Overwhelmed + Taking Some Time For You

Hey guys, it’s me! I have been MIA this week strictly for the reason that I worked 10 days in a row which added up to a total of about 100 hours of work. To say I’m exhausted is an understatement…’s finally the weekend and I could not be happier. Today I’m going to visit my grandpa and extended family to celebrate my recently late grandmother’s birthday. Saturday and Sunday’s plans as of now are undetermined and I honestly like it that way. I see my weekend being filled with lots of rest, cooking again (finally), and binge watching the new season of Criminal Minds on Netflix! It will also be filled with spending LOTS of time with this little guy.

Lately I’ve been feeling very overwhelmed and a little out of control. I feel like every day I’m just going through the motions and not really feeling like I’m truly living- which is a major stress factor for me.

It feels like I’m constantly going going going, and have had no time to sit back and to process everything that is going on in my life. I have also had no time to do the things I love which has shown in the lack of content that has been on this blog in the past few weeks.

In the past few weeks, I have felt more than ever the need for a little R&R and some personal care time. I am a strong believer in self-care and self-love and that neither of those things are EVER selfish. In order to be the best version of yourself and to fulfill all the responsibilities in your life, you have to be healthy, rested, and feel happy with yourself.

In such a fast-paced society, it is so important to take a step back and look inside yourself and see what you need in your life. It’s good to slow down and listen to what your body needs and what you need to do to feel like the best version of yourself.

So that’s what I plan to do this weekend. Take a break from the craziness of life and partake in some classic self-care.

Just finished this new Netflix show and it is equally weird and intriguing. Loved it!

Anthropologie is having a huge sale right now and I’m completely obsessed with this and this (OMG!)

Have always loved Lex’s Instagram page but lately I’ve been completely obsessed with it!
